Measuring Quality in Technical Information

How do you measure and test quality in technical information? Researchers A. Wingkvist, M. Ericsson, R. Lincke, and W. Löwe at the Linnaeus University present their answers in a number of research papers, recommended reading for anyone interested in the subject of technical documentation. The research was conducted in cooperation with Sigma Kudos.

Meet the Sigma Kudos Student Ambassador

For Sigma Kudos, it is very important to cooperate with university students. In their professional life, they may become employees or customers. Because of this, Sigma Kudos has established a Student Ambassador role, with the mission to act as a liaison between the company and the students. Meet Pernilla Nordberg, currently a student of electrical engineering at Chalmers University of Technology and the Sigma Kudos student ambassador.

New subsidiary supplies consultants to the Automotive industry

Sigma Kudos has decided to strengthen our offer to the Automotive sector by forming a new dedicated subsidiary. The new company urgently needs engineers. Klas Persson, managing director of the new company, plans to hire 15 more engineers during 2010.

Sigma Kudos signs outsourcing agreement with Metso

Sigma Kudos has won an agreement for technical documentation with Metso. The agreement is a comprehensive undertaking with Sigma Kudos taking responsibility for all of Metso Fiber's customer documentation for a period of three years. Sigma Kudos will also take over staff from Metso.

Sigma signs general agreement with BAE Systems C-ITS

Sigma has signed a general agreement with BAE Systems C-ITS AB. The primary purpose of the general agreement is to facilitate cooperation, but shall also ensure resources for development work for BAE Systems C-ITS over the long-term. Sigma Kudos will supply documentation services to BAE through this general agreement.

Sigma Kudos provides new development team to Boss Media

In January 2010 Sigma Kudos were asked to set up yet another development team for Boss Media in Växjö, Sweden. Sigma Kudos has been delivering documentation and system development services to Boss Media since 2003 and are one of the two preferred suppliers to Boss Media in this area. The deliveries are done from Sigma Kudos offices in Växjö, Sweden and Kharkiv, Ukraine.

Sigma Kudos renews frame agreement with Aastra Telecom

The frame agreement between Sigma Kudos and Aastra Telecom Sweden AB has been renewed. The agreement covers Information Design services and will be valid for a period of three years.

Technical Information 2.0 – seminars in Göteborg and Stockholm

The seminar on technical information 2.0 in Malmö in November was a success. Therefore, Sigma Kudos now offers customers in Göteborg and Stockholm the same seminar in the spring of 2010.

Atlet frame agreement renewed

The frame agreement with materials handling company Atlet has been renewed. Sigma Kudos has successfully provided Information Logistics services to Atlet since 2001, when the parties signed a Managed Service contract. This means that Sigma Kudos has full responsibility to develop, translate, print and to produce Atlet´s product information.

Renewed frame agreement with major telecom company

Sigma Kudos has renewed the frame agreement with a market-leading telecom company. The status as preferred supplier has been kept in stiff competition. The agreement covers both documentation services and R&D.

Sigma Kudos and Cryptzone signs cooperation agreement - easier encryption of information

Sigma Kudos has signed a cooperation agreement with Cryptzone for the integration of Cryptzone’s encryption solution Secured eCollaboration with Sigma Kudos’ DocFactory, a platform for managing product information. The integration means that DocFactory users will be able to protect/encrypt files with a simple push of a button.

Pharma Consulting Group (PCG) is a Swedish independent contract research organization and eCRF service provider, providing eCRF, Data Management, Statistical, Clinical Operation and Medical Writing services to pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies within clinical development. Sigma Kudos has just started a new assignment creating User Guides for the company's product Viedoc.

New Country Manager for Sigma Kudos China

Shuoyi Li is the new Country Manager for Sigma Kudos China. Shuoyi has been with Sigma Kudos since 2007, working as a team leader and site manager for the Shanghai site. Shuoyi takes over the responsibility as country manager for China from Fredrik Wenneberg, who will move on to become Global Operations Manager for China and Asia.

Sigma Kudos has signed a two-year outsourcing agreement with BTG in Säffle. BTG is one of the world’s leading suppliers of innovative technologies and expertise to the Pulp & Paper industry.

New Guided Diagnostics Assignment

In order to conform to the new U.S. emission regulations (EPA 2010), a major heavy truck manufacturer needed to update their diagnostics fault trees and repair instructions. In a combined delivery, Sigma Kudos provides guided diagnostics engineers and GGS Technical Publication Services provides technical writers and methods engineers to form a complete multi-site delivery for the customer.

Sigma Kudos employees successful in 300 km bike race

A number of Sigma Kudos employees have participated in the yearly 300 km Vätternrundan bike race around lake Vättern in southern Sweden. Two of them with outstanding results: Mikael Thonell and Peter Oom who finished in 7 hours 38 minutes and 7 hours 47 minutes respectively. Växjö University Cooperates with the East
